My experiences during the Digital Internship Project and Internship

Education Update!

Well hello everyone!

I am not the best at updating blogs as they are new in my life, but, here we go. So since I last was on I have received my placement letter for internship. I am at Jack Mackenzie school in a grade 2 room with Andria Moller. I visited Mrs. Moller and her classroom yesterday. Wow! Did I mention that is the newest school in the city, and that it is bigger than my highschool! Wow. Can you tell that I am elated with my placement! Woot woot!

Anyways, I should probably start preparing now that I have seen her and the classroom. But, unfortunately it is unseasonably warm outside which means my mind is on the sunshine and not the evergreen curriculum.

Okay, tooltes to everyone, have a lovely hot and sunny day, and enjoy May long weekend. :)

The End!

Well hello agian,

It is the first Saturday in years that I have had absolutely nothing to do, or think about, or worry about! Hmmmm…… I could get used to this! As you probably have guessed, I have finished my last teaching block of my pre-internship. It was a fantastic experience. I learned more in five days than in the last semester alone! The kids were great, too great almost; I may be disappointed if my next class is not like them. I just want to say thank-you to Diana Firnesz for being such a great co-operating teacher!!! If anyone has her for internship in the fall be very thankful, she is the best!

Well, I figure I will take a bike ride now and try to find a job for May and June. Happy vacation to all!

Planning!

Hi Everyone,

This weekend is very busy for me because I am planning for my next teaching block with the grade 1/2′s at Athabasca school. I have been busily collecting materials for the little ones to use while learning about geometry and magnets. A big thank you to Vi Maeers and Beth Warkentin for all of their help with the units. I could not have done this without you!!!

In the future I plan to post geometry and magnet sites as well as some nutrition and pet sites, for parents to see what their students have been up to. I also hope to have a link to library.com so that the books we are using in the classroom can be accessed by parents and students. This, of course is depending on whether I can figure out how to work this blog site.

Well, cheers everyone! Wish me luck!

Welcome!
